Folios are multi use pages that I love! and free files are dear to my heart so put them together: Free Folio can’t be beat! See my Halloween Folio. These folio pages can be used as mini albums, an interactive greeting card with photos, or as I am using them here in the wedding brag book.

To grab your free folio, subscribe below and tell me you want free folio page 4 side 1 or side 2. These will be generic and you can customized them yourself.

For page four I am using two different folio pages one for each side.

Although these folios are the same as my Halloween layout, they will look different as I customize the flaps and envelopes and also may rearrange the order the pages and flap attach to each other.

Free Folio Page 1

Both free Folios files available for page four have lots of flaps and pages and close like a book. When opened all the way the folio is an impressive 30 inches long!

Since nothing is stuck down, I may still rearrange the flaps and pages to be slightly different from the Halloween Folio. I will only know for sure when I start gluing it all down.

Customize Your Folio

I may add more pockets and tags but in the mean time, the customization done so far is :

With the flap, I use a file from silhouette design store: snapdragon snippets is one of my favourite designers and I used one of her flourishes for the flap.
On the pocket, I use a wedding cake I found on Google for free.The weld technique can be seen here

Free Folio side 2

Like Folio 1, Side two is about 30 inched opened up. Due to the bulk, I may move this page anywhere and swap the layouts with one of the first 3 pages to prevent the brag book becoming too bulky and hence unable to close.

Although this page for side 2 is the same size when opened up, there is slightly more space for photos due to the longer flap. If you wanted even more space,,you could make all the flaps long

Again, this folio opened all the way out is huge and has a lot of space for photos and journaling.

More Customization for free folio possible

Seems hard to belief that you can add more to this layout but you will be surprised! In the Halloween layout, I used a slotted inset for tags and in this one I may use a file I have been working on that is super interactive! Pulling tabs that make stuff move gets my blood moving!

Easy to assemble envelopes, love birds and "love" — these are both envelopes for the easy to assemble wedding album brag book page 3 side 1

Easy to assemble brag book template is just a small part of what this beautiful wedding brag book is all about! These pages are super flexible and adapts to different page sizes. In this case an 8 inch x 8 inch page.

Past Template pages

My halloween brag book was 6.5 by 8.5 and used the same pages. I took the template brag book page and resided to 8×8. Super easy to do.

Super Easy to Assemble

Once the temple file is downloaded,
The pages can be cut out using a Silhouette or Cricut machine.
OR Print the file and use it to trace out and cut your pages
All you need is double sided tape or glue and decorative paper to mat the pages.
Add Photos and any other embellishments you have.

This brag book is a beautiful gift for any occasion, let them add their own cherished photos and memories.

This page 3 is starting to get interactive . For side 1 of page 3 the first page you see is one with a pocket.

Use the template pocket and customize

I used the template pocket file and welded the love birds to personalize it for a wedding album look and feel. The image of the love birds came from a wedding card I purchased on Silhouette Design Store : LOVE BIRDS LAYER CARD by Daniela Angelova.

The flexibility of using these files is that you can add one pocket, 2 pockets or just leave it empty for a large photo.

With the template pockets, you can weld any object or words to create a theme for your occasion. Below is one of the basic template pockets with the word “LOVE” and a heart welded on to it.

So the first page has the pocket with the birds, it opens to the left and on the backside is another pocket with “LOVE” as seen above.

Attached to this page is another page that has a pull put accordion page.

Brag Book Page 3 Side 2

This side has an impressive double trifold. The view below is sideways and when opened it will go from top to bottom of the album.

While blogging about this easy to assemble wedding album brag book, I realized that the order of my pages got mixed up and these were page 1, not page 2!

The template pages can go in any order, the only limitation is as we move on to my folios is they have so many flip, flaps, pockets, tags and inserts on the pages that it creates a lot of bulk.

You will see what I mean when we get to those template pages.

I have developed many different templates of interactive pages, such as waterfall, slots, accordion, double trifold pull out, folio style and more. The other templates are for pockets, tags, inserts etc.

Templates are a great resource in brag book building as you don’t have to keep reinventing the wheel and you can use the templates to get many different looks.

Before I go on blogging about the Wedding Album Brag Book, and templates, this is a good place to pause and ask you to subscribe.

When you subscribe

Let me know which of the 12 digital template page you want from the brag books collection.
By pages I mean the entire layout for a page, for example, page 4 side 2 is a page that you request.
Once you request a template, I will send you the file for the page of your choice free of charge in SVG format.
depending on which templated page you choose, the file may consist of many inserts so emailing will not be possible and a download link from dropbox will be provided.
These are my template files that I created and if you would like to make the complete book, with the files for cover and spine and all the pages you can purchase from me.
The images and embellishments used are not included but any image can be merged with a pocket to create a new look each time. The Silhouette Design Store and Cricut access can be a good place to start looking. I also get lots of my files from Creative Fabrica (that is my affiliate link)

Wedding Album Brag Book Template Page 2 Side 1

Here is a quick look at Page 2 side 1. This template page will be held shut with a belly band, magnetic closures I hope! The first page that you see will have a pocket.

This page will open to the left that there is now a space for a large photo and a waterfall page to the right.

The layout is slightly different from the templated Halloween page and can still be changed to be exactly like that page but I may leave it as is!

Cardstock for pages are from Michaels as well as the decorative paper fro the matting but places Like Amazon also carries cardstock and scrapbook paper.

This side 2 also is a little mixed up from my Halloween layout.

That is the beauty of these templates …they are flexible and parts can be used or not used, and even swapped around from one page to another, there are so many combinations of what the book can look like.

In the Halloween Brag book, this slotted page had 3 tags with a haunted house roof theme. The page flipped the the left have been replaced by the 2 envelopes, but we will see how I feel when its time to decorate everything.

Inside Cover and Page One

Inside cover

The inside of the cover will be a simple gatefold opening to allow for a photo or wedding invitation to be displayed.It does not look like anything much now but I hope a cute closure (ribbon or magnets) and paper will make it look really good.

Page One Side 1

Like the Halloween brag book page one, There will be a gate that opens and underneath is a pocket and tag. For the wedding theme, I am using love birds to embellish. My paper cut overlay is from the Silhouette design store: LOVE BIRDS LAYER CARD by Daniela Angelova #162094. The pages are slightly different layout but all the same pieces as the Halloween page one side 1.

Again, I am resizing page 1 side 2 of the halloween Brag book to fit the 8 x 8 page dimension. This side has some foldout pages and pockets.Once more I am redoing the actual manner in which I attached them to give a slightly different look.

Creating files Mini Album and Brag Books Paper scrapbook

Wedding Album/Brag book

When I was making my Halloween Brag book I had this wedding album in mind, and although the dimensions are different (8 x 8) from the Halloween brag book, I knew that the digital files were going to be very easy to modify.

The album base I got on sale in Michaels and painted it white. so I did not build my own cover , spine and binding. If you want to do so yourself I cover it here.

I wanted to cut ALL the inserts out for ALL the pages and then start assembling and photographing the pages and posting BUT got to page three and looked at the amount of stuff I had cut out and WOW… I am starting to get a bit confused as to what goes were!

So, I am pausing all of that the cutting madness to go through the album, of what I have so far, and catalogue it here on my blog.

I will post both my screenshots of the modified files and the cut files. Note that there is no decorative page matting or embellishments cut out yet and I will post each page as I assemble them

The Album Base

As I mentioned, I did not build the base album from scratch but got this one on sale in Michaels. My Halloween base was built from scratch and if you want to make your own you can review the process here: Brag book Base

I am trying to keep all the pages as close to the Halloween layout in order to show how ease it is to adjust the digital files I developed. I may rearrange the layout as I go along to illustrate the flexibility of these files, because I know I won’t be able to resit reorganizing them!

Paper and Embellishments

Base pages white Cardstock 8.5 inches x 11 inches from Recollections 65 lb. I was going to use the heavier weight Cardstock but I think it will make the album too bulky.
Decorative paper for matting is Recollections Wisteria 12 inch x 12 inch.
Decorative paper from Dollar tree Metallic silver 11 inches x 14.28 inches come in a pk of 5 different colours for $1.25
Silver Vinyl
Embellishments love birds purchased and free.
Other wedding symbols to be determined
Quotes to pint or cut to be determined.
Magnets for closures
Ribbon and other nick knacks as I find them

Will add as I go along but this is the basics of what I intend to use.

Measurements for this project

The Cover Measurements : 8 inches x 8.5 inches.
The base page will be 8 inches x 8 inches and allow for a large photo mat 7.75 inches x 7.75 inches insert.
The matting for base pages will have a 7. 75 inches x 7.75 inch

Courage: Childrens Class Idea

We had a children class this past weekend and the theme was Courage. After doing a quick search online I came up with a few ideas. Feel free to download the 2 printable colouring pages and the template to make the courage badge.

First the Colouring page with a quote on Courage set inside a mandala. This I created using my Silhouette cameo software .

The second colouring page is around the concept of being a hero. When we talk about being a hero, we speak about the courage to be different, to stand up for what is just and so on.

This page has figures I cut out so the kids can choose the “hero” to represent them, and a “Heromobile” of their choice.

The last activity and by far the favorite was to make badge to reward courage. For this I used red felt , a safety pin, various sparkling paper cut into a circle and star, and a tag with courage on it.
